Weather Disruptions at Charlotte

The NASCAR weekend in Charlotte has been severely hampered by ongoing inclement weather. Conditions have remained unfavorable, resulting in a lack of track activity across multiple divisions. Both practice and qualifying sessions for the lower-tier series were scrapped, and the Truck race has already faced two separate postponements.

Qualifying Canceled for Coca-Cola 600

Following a brief window where teams were able to conduct a 45-minute practice session before misting conditions returned, officials have officially canceled the qualifying session for the 67th running of the Coca-Cola 600. Ricky Stenhouse Jr. had set the pace during the limited practice time available.

Starting Grid Set

Due to the cancellation of qualifying, the starting lineup has been determined by the rulebook. Championship leader Tyler Reddick is set to lead the field to the green flag from the pole position, with Ty Gibbs lining up alongside him on the front row.

The rest of the top five features Shane van Gisbergen in third, Michael McDowell in fourth, and Chase Briscoe in fifth. The remainder of the top ten consists of Ryan Blaney, Chris Buescher, Austin Cindric, Austin Dillon, and AJ Allmendinger.

Notable Entries and Tributes

Katherine Legge, who is participating in the "Double" after competing in the Indianapolis 500, is slated to start the race from the 37th position. All 39 registered entries are expected to take the green flag for the event.

The atmosphere at Charlotte Motor Speedway remains somber as the racing community honors the memory of 41-year-old champion Kyle Busch. As a mark of respect during this difficult time, the No. 8 car belonging to the late driver remains displayed at the top of the track's scoring pylon.
