Dale Earnhardt Jr. has confirmed his participation in the inaugural CARS Late Model Stock Tour event at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on April 11. The announcement was made during his 'Dale Jr Download' podcast, ending widespread speculation.

Earnhardt expressed his long-standing affection for the historic track and revealed he will drive the Bass Pro Shops car. He also mentioned an upcoming tire test to prepare for the race.

The CARS Tour, which Earnhardt co-owns with NASCAR stars Kevin Harvick, Justin Marks, and Jeff Burton, is considered the country's premier regional short track series. The Nashville event, titled the 'Tootsie's Music City Showdown,' gained a title sponsor through the efforts of Marks.

The future of the Fairgrounds Speedway itself remains uncertain, with proposals ranging from revitalization and a potential NASCAR Cup Series return to possible demolition, all pending local government decisions.
