Juraj Slafkovsky of the Montreal Canadiens (MTL) completed a hat trick with a stunning overtime goal against the Tampa Bay Lightning (TBL), sealing a 3-2 win for his team.
With just 30 seconds remaining in the extra period, the Canadiens gained the offensive zone. Nick Suzuki set up the play at the blue line before Slafkovsky unleashed a perfect wrist shot that beat the goaltender far side, despite the goalie having a clear view.
The game-winning sequence began with a clean entry into the zone. Suzuki's setup allowed Slafkovsky to get into position for the decisive shot. The Lightning goaltender, with his glove tucked, was unable to make the save as the puck found the back of the net.
The dramatic overtime marker capped a stellar individual performance for Slafkovsky, who single-handedly propelled the Canadiens to a crucial victory with his three-goal night.
