The NFL schedule will feature a record nine international games this season, with more planned for future seasons.

The league is expanding to new countries, including a Week 1 game in Australia and a game in Paris later in the season. This could be the strongest group of international games yet, featuring many playoff teams from last season and some of the league's top franchises.

Here is a breakdown of the nine games scheduled outside the United States:

Week 1: San Francisco 49ers vs. Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia. The NFL adjusted its opening game in Seattle to Wednesday for this historic event, streamed by Netflix. It will be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground, which holds about 100,000 people.

Week 3: Baltimore Ravens vs. Dallas Cowboys in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Cowboys return to international play for the first time since 2014. This game featuring Lamar Jackson and the Cowboys will kick off at 4:25 p.m. Eastern.

Week 4: Indianapolis Colts vs. Washington Commanders in London, England. The Commanders play overseas for a second straight season, while the Colts return to Europe after a win in Germany last year.

Week 5: Philadelphia Eagles vs. Jacksonville Jaguars in London, England.
Week 6: Houston Texans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars in London, England. The Jaguars get two overseas games, including a key AFC South matchup with the Texans.

Week 7: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. New Orleans Saints in Paris, France. The NFL plays its first game in Paris at Stade de France, the country's largest stadium.

Week 9: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Atlanta Falcons in Madrid, Spain. This game is part of a multi-year agreement at Bernabéu Stadium.

Week 10: New England Patriots vs. Detroit Lions in Munich, Germany. The Lions return to international play for the first time since 2015 at FC Bayern Munich Stadium.

Week 11: Minnesota Vikings vs. San Francisco 49ers in Mexico City, Mexico. This will be the sixth regular-season game in Mexico City, with the 49ers having played in three of them.
