The Minnesota Timberwolves will likely be without Rudy Gobert for their Sunday matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers. The All-Star center committed a flagrant foul at the end of the second quarter in Friday's game against the Dallas Mavericks, triggering an automatic one-game suspension unless the call is rescinded.

The foul, where Gobert struck Marvin Bagley III in the face with his forearm while fighting for a rebound, was upgraded to a Flagrant 1 after review. Gobert finished the game, a 122-111 Timberwolves win, with 22 points and 17 rebounds.

This is not Gobert's first suspension this season due to flagrant fouls; he previously missed a game in January. He now has seven flagrant foul points on the season. With seven points, any further flagrant foul will result in an automatic two-game suspension for the remainder of the season.
