The Missing Stars of WrestleMania 42

With dozens of WWE superstars set to perform at Allegiant Stadium, the two-night WrestleMania 42 extravaganza is packed with emerging talent and industry icons. Yet, despite the star-studded nature of the event, the absence of certain key performers creates a noticeable void in this year's festivities.

1. Bianca Belair

Often considered the premier female performer at the "Showcase of the Immortals," Belair’s absence is felt deeply. Since sustaining a hand injury during last year’s critically acclaimed match, the "EST" has been sidelined. Her creativity and athleticism have become synonymous with WrestleMania, making her current hiatus a significant loss for the card.

2. Iyo Sky & 3. Asuka

Many fans expected a dream showdown between these two elite competitors. Iyo Sky, widely regarded as one of the world's best, currently lacks a marquee spot, often serving as a secondary element in other storylines. Similarly, Asuka’s unique presentation and high-level skill set demand a prime position that she simply hasn't been granted this weekend.

4. Bron Breakker

Breakker was widely tipped for a massive push toward the main event scene. However, a hernia surgery earlier this year halted his momentum. Given the shift in creative direction during his recovery, it remains unlikely that we will see the former Intercontinental Champion make a surprise appearance in Las Vegas.

5. Carmelo Hayes

After a standout run with the United States Championship, Hayes found himself off the main card following his title loss to Sami Zayn. While he remains a future cornerstone of the company, the exclusion of such a high-caliber performer from a high-stakes match like a potential triple-threat feels like a missed opportunity.

6. Tiffany Stratton & 7. Chelsea Green

The women’s division is also missing key players. Tiffany Stratton, who competed for top gold just a year ago, is absent despite her recent high-profile programs. Meanwhile, Chelsea Green remains sidelined due to a broken ankle sustained earlier this year, cutting short a run that had seen her popularity soar as a comedic heel.

8. The Wyatt Sicks & 9. Damian Priest

The absence of the supernatural-themed Wyatt Sicks faction highlights ongoing discussions regarding the depth and focus of the tag-team division. Additionally, former Money in the Bank winner Damian Priest is off the card entirely, further underscoring the lack of prominence for tag-team competition at this year’s event.

10. The NXT Contingent

Since the rescheduling of "Stand and Deliver," the opportunity for NXT stars to shine during WrestleMania weekend has diminished. While talent like Joe Hendry or Sol Ruca would benefit from the massive exposure of the main roster’s biggest event, WWE appears to be waiting for more strategic opportunities to integrate the next generation of stars.
