Yahoo Sports has officially launched a specialized hub dedicated to the sport of lacrosse. By partnering with Inside Lacrosse, one of the most prominent media entities in the field, the platform aims to provide a centralized location for comprehensive news, analysis, and multimedia content.
This new destination is accessible via the Yahoo Sports website and integrates contributions from several major organizations, including:
- The Premier Lacrosse League (PLL)
- The Women’s Lacrosse League (WLL)
- The Lacrosse Network (TLN)
- USA Lacrosse Magazine
Strategic Timing for the Sport's Growth
The launch of this hub comes as lacrosse experiences a surge in popularity and media interest. Recent data from USA Lacrosse highlights that collegiate programs have more than doubled since 2000, while high school participation now spans over 7,000 teams across the nation. The sport is also preparing for a significant milestone: its return to the Olympic Games in two years, marking the first-ever Olympic appearance for women’s lacrosse.
