It was a unanimous decision. The top players in college basketball this season were Duke's Cam Boozer on the men's side and UConn's Sarah Strong on the women's side.

The duo completed their sweep of the major National Player of the Year honors on Friday by winning the Wooden Award, adding to their previous Naismith and AP Awards. Both were also named to every All-American list.

Boozer becomes the eighth Duke Blue Devil to win the award, while Strong is the seventh from UConn. No men's program has more Wooden Awards than Duke, and no women's program has more than UConn.

Boozer's win also marks consecutive years a Duke freshman has claimed the award, following Cooper Flagg. Despite their individual brilliance, both players saw their teams fall short in March Madness. Duke suffered a crushing Elite Eight collapse against the UConn men, while the UConn women's undefeated season ended in the Final Four against South Carolina.

Boozer is widely expected to declare for the 2026 NBA Draft as a projected top pick. Strong, however, is set to return to UConn for her junior season with soaring expectations.
