Pittsburgh Pirates' young star Konnor Griffin, MLB's top prospect, continues his impressive spring training by hitting his third home run. After homering twice against the Boston Red Sox on Thursday, Griffin added another against the St. Louis Cardinals on Sunday.

The 19-year-old outfielder told reporters he is feeling increasingly comfortable. "I felt really comfortable," Griffin said. "I'm working on being present, taking each game at a time. I'm enjoying where I'm at, but still have to continue to work." Griffin is batting .214 this spring.

A quick learner, Griffin was the No. 9 pick in the 2024 draft. He ascended through three minor league levels last year, posting strong offensive splits. He is expected to start the season in Double-A.

Despite high expectations and comparisons to stars like Mike Trout, Pirates manager Don Kelly emphasizes patience. "We have to keep in mind that he's 19," Kelly said. "It's about allowing him to be himself and play free." Given the Pirates' need for offense, Griffin could see a major league call-up this season.
