The manager added that while the X-rays were clear, Sánchez was experiencing significant soreness and difficulty gripping objects with the affected hand.

Speaking through an interpreter, Sánchez clarified that there was no intent to invite a throw from the spectator. «It was a misunderstanding. I wasn't trying to play catch right there with them. I just looked at them and they thought maybe that I wanted them to throw the ball back to me,» the outfielder stated.
