Regarding the jockey's cut, it is worth noting that while the technical share amounts to $310,000, these earnings are typically shared with their agent and valet.

Beyond monetary gains, the prestige of the race is symbolized by the Kentucky Derby Trophy. Standing at 22 inches tall and crafted from 14-karat gold, the primary trophy is awarded to the winning owner.
