The veteran broadcaster, known for his signature voice across NBA and college football, concluded his journey during the season-finale game between the Boston Celtics and the Orlando Magic.
Emotional Tributes from Colleagues
The farewell was marked by several moving tributes from across the network. Before the game, Jones appeared on the Inside the NBA pregame show, where he was greeted with a standing ovation from the panel, including Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley, and Shaquille O’Neal.
Reflecting on his departure, Jones shared his gratitude for his time at the network:
«I have a very full and a very heavy heart today as I say goodbye to the only place that I’ve really worked in network television.
